He’s Ruby’s companion, but their relationship is kind of uncommon. Long story short: they don’t really like each other, even if they’re almost inseparables. You can read why below. THE CAT SPELL Because of this spell, Slith has lost all his vampire powers, and his abilities have been reduced to those of a domestic cat. Flying domestic cat, to be precise, as the wings are the only part of his vampire body that remained after the jinx. As you can imagine, this must be an incredibly frustrating situation for someone who once was one of the strongest vampires in the world. The spell caster is Salvador. He made a deal with Ruby, and agreed to con Slith (Ruby is therefore the real culprit). This is why Slith’s dearest wish is to kill Ruby, but he can’t because of the binding spell, since Salvador made it so that… … the spell will remain active until Ruby’s feelings for Slith change. In other words, until Ruby loves him <3 Yes, this is one pretty vicious binding. Slith therefore has to stay with Ruby if he ever wants her to develop feelings for him, and to break free of the spell. However, with his anger at Ruby for what she did, and with Ruby being the most insensitive, manipulative, inconsiderate and egocentric brat in the world, this most likely will take a long, long time. As of now, Ruby and Slith have already been traveling a lot together. Ruby’s heart is still ice cold, though they did develop some kind of complicity, which makes people think they’re BFFs who hide their feelings for each other. If they only knew… XD SLITH’S PERSONALITY Slith has a very strong personality and a bad temper too, but is more layback than Ruby, due to his age. In many cases, when he feels like the situation doesn’t concern him, he won’t even bother helping Ruby. If this annoys her, she usually yells at him and reminds him that she will never love him if he acts this way. This drives Slith crazy, but he usually ends up cooperating in the end. FUN FACTS - Slith is not his real name, but a nickname that Ruby gave him after he was turned into a cat. Though this irritates Slith a bit, he doesn’t complain because he doesn’t want people to know who he really is or what happened to him. |
