So now you know a little more about what Ruby plans to do this year.

I know the style of the strip is constantly evolving lately. I’m experimenting to find something I like. Getting closer, but not there yet.

Also, I’m flying home for some time off tomorrow. So there will be no updates for the next 10 days, but a lot of stuff will be coming up when I return. Have a nice week and see you soon!

Je sais, le style est en constante évolution (ou plutôt faudrait-il dire expérimentation) en ce moment. Je me rapproche gentilment de ce que je recherche.

Par ailleurs, je pars en vacances pour une dizaine de jours, donc pas d’updates pour les 2 semaines qui viennent, mais pas mal de surprises à mon retour. A bientôt!

Even before the actual blackout happened, the reaction to the SOPA act was so huge that the proposal was actually shelved, which sounds like a victory.

But do not be fooled. This is not over. SOPA will come back.

The only fact that the bill has been ‘shelved’ and not ‘abandoned’ in spite of the clear disapproval of the people proves that governments intend to bring it back on the table. Watch out, because that might be sooner than you think.

When governments can’t make a bill pass because too many people oppose it, they usually shelve it for a couple of months and wait for a crisis to happen. They then use the crisis as an argument to push the bill forward, and as everyone’s attention is elsewhere, the bill passes without anyone noticing. This has been the case so many times, one of the latest one being the London riots.

The SOPA/PIPA acts and the shutting down of Megaupload and are all part of the governments’ agenda to control the net. Do not let this happen.

My resolution for this year is to postpone resolutions until next year.

Ma bonne résolution cette année est de remettre mes bonnes résolutions à l’année prochaine.

Let me take this opportunity to talk about myself a little, which I very seldom do.

First of all, I would like to thank you all for your support, comments and feedback. I also have to apologize for not having replied to all of them yet, but be sure I read everything and it means a lot to me. I don’t know what kind of image you have of me, but I actually have very few confidence in my art, and I always doubt that anyone will find it funny or interesting. Yet many of you write to me, especially on DA and it brings me indescribable joy. I am truly grateful for that, and if I’m still drawing, it’s thanks to you.

On the other hand, I’ve been extremely busy with my job and my band’s new album release (I also have a band) in December, which is why there hasn’t been many KILL RUBY or RRR updates. It’s a shame because the next pages’ plot is already written, but I lack the time to draw them. Hopefully I have a couple days off before work starts again in Japan, so I will seize this opportunity to try and catch up.

According to the information I have, 2012 is going to be an exceptionally eventful year, yet not in a very positive way. However, it trust the human race (I am a philanthropist), and believe we are capable of overcoming the worst catastrophes when they come our way, as we have been doing until now.

And since we’re talking seriously here, I would also like to seize this opportunity to express my strong support to the OCCUPY WALL STREET movement, which I feel is currently writing one of the greatest pages of human history. Damn, I feel like jumping on a plane to New York every day since September. I am with you in thought, so don’t give up the fight until governments choke and we can finally see the light of dawn on the world we always wanted.

Take full responsibility for your life, question authority and information, help others in need and don’t forget to tell people you love that you love them.
